Centralia

Beverly Jean Lane Losh, born on April 3, 1936, in Deer Park, Washington, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024, in Centralia, Washington, at the age of 88.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and high school sweetheart, Norman Losh, and leaves behind a loving family and a legacy of kindness, strength, and creativity.

Beverly is survived by her children, Sharon (and Dennis) Bower and Mark (and Sheryl) Losh; her grandchildren, Brittney (and Jon) Young, Alida (and Calvin) Jurich, and Jacob Losh; and her great-grandchildren, Morgan, Kellan, Quinn, and Emory. Beverly and Norman’s generous hearts also welcomed Venezuelan family members Roberto and Siomi Alonso (and their family), and Vianey Torres, along with many others who became part of their extended circle of love.

A true force of nature, Beverly pursued a wide variety of careers and activities with passion and dedication. She and Norman farmed together, raising pigs, chickens, and Black Angus cattle. Beverly’s talents extended to managing and selling floral and fabric goods, working as a seamstress, and owning several restaurants where she was the cook and Norman was the baker. Her roles as a 4-H leader and sewing teacher impacted many young lives, while her love for square dancing with Norman and getting together with Wild Rose friends showcased her in their younger years.

Music was a central part of Beverly’s life. She played piano for most of her years, serving in many churches, accompanying countless musicians, and directing church choirs. Her creative spirit also found expression in painting beautiful landscapes. Beverly’s warmth and hospitality were legendary, and food was the Losh family’s love language, though it may be served along with advice or an option or two. No matter where they lived, Beverly and Norman delighted in sharing their cooking with friends and neighbors, creating cherished memories around the table.

Beverly’s legacy of generosity, resilience, and love lives on through her family and the many lives she touched. A celebration of her life will be held for the family this summer to share stories, laughs, and tears.

She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her unwavering faith, artistic talents, and the boundless love she gave to all who knew her.
