Linda Lou Gaskill

Linda Lou Gaskill passed away at home on March 27th, 2025. Linda was 1 of 11 children and she was born on January 16, 1945, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

She later moved to Oregon and married her husband, Gary, in April of 1963. Then in 1978 they made their home in Lewis County, where they lived the rest of their lives happily raising foster children alongside their own. All while doing what they loved in the form of dancing, horseback riding, camping, and fishing.

Mom was always helping our dad with some new business venture, from appliance repair to taking care of the border collies he trained for herding. In 1997 she was in a horrific car accident that left her disabled and ended her Seamstress career at Green Hill School. Shortly after, dad passed in 1999, and she soldiered on without him. She continued to raise her teenage daughter with the strength and resilience that she will be remembered for.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Betty Gindlesterger. She is survived by her 3 children Leanne Gaskill, David Gaskill, and Lauri Heffington, her 8 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

Rest in peace to the strongest, bravest person we have ever met. Thank you for everything mom!
